Hi, my name is Darrell Deane and I am a Professional Dog Trainer in Lawrenceville Georgia with over 30 years experience successfully training puppies and dogs. I began with training hunting dogs, then moved into obedience training for their family dogs when my customers saw how well the dogs hunted as trained which has led to slight behavioral modification training and discipline when I noticed certain behavior and spoke to the owner. I have a strict no abuse technique that works with all dog breeds. I work with the pet owner and the pet at the same time to assure the owner can produce the same results I achieve. My love for animals shows in my work and I will bond well with your pet. I can use a treat method or no treat method whichever you choose. I prefer the non treat method because I get better results with positive verbal and positive touch plus the dog starts to expect treats for doing as they are told. I will train you and your pet using verbal commands and if desired I will train with non-verbal commands, please let me know which you prefer during the consultation as the hand command technique is a much more time consuming process. You can come to me, but I prefer to come to your location so the pet feels more secure and familiar, and all family members should be involved in the training process so everyone knows and uses the same commands. This causes less confusion for the pet and the family doesn't get frustrated when the pet doesn't listen. We can also meet in a neutral setting if that is your wish, however I recommend that anyone involved in giving commands be there no matter where we meet.
Obedience training will consist of the basic commands: sit, lay, come, down, stay and not rushing the food bowl at feeding time.
Leash training so that your dog does not try to walk you (pull or drag you), try to take off also for them to sit or lay when you stop or when they reach the end of the slack that you have given him/her in the leash.
House breaking is sometimes a difficult task, it is a time consuming and sometimes a slow process I can and will assist you in this process if required.
The training time varies from dog to dog as well as breed to breed, so the training fee will vary according to what the owner wants and how many sessions it takes while I work with you and your dog. Each session will last no longer than hour per dog, puppy session will be shorter due to their attention span.
